You will have plenty of free time to swim in turquoise waters, relax on the beach, or walk along the shaded riverbanks under the Theophrastus palms. The area also offers beautiful photo spots and peaceful natural surroundings, perfect for exploration and relaxation.

Pick-Up
Your day begins with a comfortable pick-up from your hotel in the morning. Sit back and enjoy the scenic drive through Crete’s southern landscapes as we head towards one of the island’s most iconic natural wonders. Along the way, you can relax and prepare for an unforgettable adventure.

Stop in Skaleta
Makee a short stop in Skaleta where you can enjoy breakfast or a coffee and use the facilities. This is a great opportunity to stretch your legs before continuing the journey south. After the break, we continue towards the stunning Preveli region.

Preveli Beach
Arrive at the impressive Preveli Beach, where dramatic cliffs and a unique tropical landscape await. From the parking area, a footpath with approximately 300 steps leads down to the beach, taking about 15 minutes. Once there, you will have around 4 hours of free time to swim, relax, and explore the palm forest and river delta.

Departure from Preveli Beach
In the afternoon, we gather back at the meeting point and begin our return journey. Take your last photos of this incredible tropical scenery before leaving. We then head back towards the northern part of the island.

Stop in Skaleta
We make a short refreshment stop in Skaleta on the way back. You can grab a drink, use the facilities, or simply relax after your beach experience. After a brief pause, we continue the journey back.

Return to the Hotels
We arrive back in the hotel areas where guests are dropped off at their accommodations. The exact arrival time depends on traffic and hotel location.

Located on the southern coast of Crete, at the end of the impressive Kourtaliotiko Gorge, Preveli Beach is one of the island’s most unique natural landscapes. Here, the Grand River (Megalos Potamos) flows through a lush palm forest before meeting the Libyan Sea, creating a rare tropical scenery in the heart of the Mediterranean. The area is also associated with local history and became widely known in the 1960s and 1970s as a peaceful retreat for travelers seeking untouched nature and freedom by the sea. Today, Preveli is famous for its exotic palm forest, home to Theophrastus palms, forming the second-largest palm grove in Crete after Vai. Visitors can walk along the shaded riverbanks, explore the small lagoon formed by the river, or relax on the mix of sandy and pebbled beach while enjoying crystal-clear turquoise waters. A dramatic cliffside viewpoint and the heart-shaped rock formation on the eastern side add to the beach’s unique charm.
